WHAT ARE SOME GENERAL GUIDELINES WHEN USING ESSENTIAL OILS?

Our essential oils are pure and of the highest therapeutic value, so it is important to always dilute them before use. After proper dilution with a carrier oil we recommend that you always test a small amount on your skin.

We cannot recommend the internal use of essential oils; only use internally when advised by a qualified medical practitioner.

Keep oils out of reach from babies, children and pets. Note that essential oils are flammable; keep stored away from heat, flame and ignition sources.

DO YOU MAKE YOUR OWN OILS?

No we are not distillers but importers and re-packagers of fine essential oils from producers worldwide.

WHERE DO YOUR ESSENTIAL OILS COME FROM?

We have many long and trusted relationships with producers and suppliers worldwide and every label of essential oil indicates the country of origin. We prefer to purchase oils from small, boutique distillers where quality is more important than yield.  We have visited many locations of production and spend a lot time developing our source of superior products. If it is a choice between lower price and quality, we always choose quality. Our focus is organic and wild-crafted oils.

ARE YOUR OILS PURE, THERAPEUTIC GRADE? ARE THEY DILUTED?

We consider our essential oils to be of therapeutic grade and they are not redistilled, extended or diluted, except for the Single Note 10-20% oils which are clearly marked as diluted in Jojoba to make some of the precious oils affordable.

CAN I INGEST THE OILS?

Canadian law stipulates that we cannot recommend the internal consumption of essential oils.

HOW LONG DO ESSENTIAL OILS LAST?

Stored properly in dark bottles, essential oils will last many years. Some actually improve with age like Patchouli and Sandalwood. Citrus oils however, are more fragile since they are cold pressed and have a shorter shelf life of 6 months to a year. Let your nose guide you and relegate older oils to your household cleaning.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SOAP GRADE OILS AND THE OTHER ESSENTIAL OILS YOU CARRY?

We offer this affordable grouping of essential oils for the purpose of soap and candle making and adding to cleaning products. All of the essential oils in this section are pure, undiluted and natural products. We make a distinction here from our main menu of what we consider to be therapeutic essential oils. We do not have direct contact with producers in this group of oils and there are no certified organic or wild-crafted oils in this section.  During the soap and candle making process, much of the essential oil added is lost so more is needed to get a fragrant product. These oils are ideal for that purpose. The oils in this section are excellent for cleaning your home, office or treatment room.

 CAN YOU RECOMMEND PRODUCTS FOR SPECIFIC CONCERNS, I.E. BURNS, INSOMNIA, H1N1?

We get many customer requests for prescriptive essential oil blends. Please note that we are not licensed nor insured to provide aromatherapy prescriptions or consultations. We appreciate your understanding. We can suggest resources to help you.

WHO CAN ORDER FROM RAE DUNPHY AROMATICS?

Everyone! Our online store originally sold to Wholesale Customers who owned retail shops, created product lines as well as health practitioners that used our products to treat their clients. We are happy to announce that as of March 2015, we have reopened our retail store online! We want to ensure that these precious gifts of nature are accessible to those who do not have retails stores near them.

WHAT KIND OF CREDIT CARDS CAN I USE?

You can use Visa and MasterCard and American Express.

WHAT ARE THE DIFFERENT WAYS I CAN PLACE AN ORDER?

The fastest and most convenient way to order is through our online shop. By creating an account you will be able to access your order history, see the progress of your current orders and re-order your favourite items easily. You can also easily send us messages, create a wish list of items and save multiple shipping/billing addresses. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO PROCESS MY ORDER?

It is our policy for orders to leave Rae Dunphy Aromatics within 2-3 business days of receiving your order. Time in transit will depend upon which shipping method you choose and whether or not you live in a major city or rural area.

CAN I PICK-UP MY ORDER?

You are welcome to pick up your order during our regular business hours, Monday-Friday 9 am – 4 pm MST. Please note we require 24 hours minimum for processing (weekends not included). We will notify you as soon as your order is ready for pick-up or feel free to contact us (telephone: 1-800-563-8938, email: sales@raedunphy.ca) if you would like to know the estimated time of completion for your order.

There is street parking in front as well as on our cross street. We also offer free parking behind our building in the designated "Rae Dunphy Aromatics Parking" area.

WHOLESALE ORDERING INFORMATION

ARE THERE OTHER PAYMENT OPTIONS AVAILABLE FOR WHOLESALE CUSTOMERS?

Yes! Wholesale Customers can pay via credit card (through online shopping cart or we can manually charge the credit card we have on file after you complete your order online), COD (please see Shipping and Returns section for more details), email money transfer and payment at time of pick-up from RDA warehouse.

IS THERE A MINIMUM FOR WHOLESALE ORDERS?

Yes, our minimum for Wholesale orders is $100.00 CAD before taxes. If you enter an order under the minimum, a $10.00 CAD “Small Order Handling Fee” note will appear in the comment section of your invoice. After your order is placed, we send you a revised invoice reflecting the $10 additional fee. 

*Please note that there is NO minimum order for retail customers.

AS A NEW OR INTERESTED WHOLESALE CUSTOMER, CAN I COME BY TO SEE YOUR PRODUCTS IN PERSON AND SPEAK TO A CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE? 

Absolutely! We would be happy to assist you. We ask that you call or email us to make an appointment so we can ensure you have the undivided attention of one of our customer service representatives.

CAN YOU ACCOMODATE RUSH ORDERS FOR WHOLESALE CUSTOMERS?

There are 3 factors that affect the time your order takes to arrive: RUSH Order request, Shipping method and Payment type.

RUSH Order Request: It is our policy to ship orders within 2-3 business days of receipt, however, if you require your order sooner we offer a RUSH Order option for a fee of $10. This will bump your order to the front of the line to have it prepared and shipped ASAP.

Shipping Method: We recommend that you also choose the fastest shipping option to your area. If you are located in the Calgary area you may want to choose the pick-up or local courier option.

Depending on our capacity and the time of your order, we may be able to accommodate Same Day shipping via local courier within Calgary. If you are outside of Calgary, we may be able to arrange Next Day Priority shipping via Canada Post. To arrange either of these options, please contact us (telephone: 1-800-563-8938, email: sales@raedunphy.ca).

Payment Type: Although we can prepare your order, we cannot release it for shipping until we receive payment. The fastest payment type is via ‘Credit Card on file’ so we can take payment immediately. Please be aware that Email Money Transfers from a personal account can take up to 30 minutes for us to receive and from a business account can take up to 24 hours.

No, we ask that you reorder backordered items on your next order.
